Why These Three Sectors
Regime Scan monitors the sectors where structural detection provides independent, non-redundant information. Energy, Utilities, and Financials each respond to the structural detection framework differently — each uses sector-specific alert filtering calibrated to what the data validated. Sectors with high S&P 500 correlation (Technology, Industrials, Healthcare) are excluded because their signals are largely redundant with the broad market monitor.
Cross-Reference Context
Sector signals are interpreted alongside the S&P 500 broad market monitor. When the broad market enters ALERT, sector conditions should be evaluated in that context. A sector showing CLEAR during a broad market ALERT may indicate relative structural resilience — not an all-clear.
